What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is a fat deposit beneath the skin. Cellulite is caused by tight connective tissues (fibrous septae) pulling on the skin resulting in dimpling. Think of it as squeezing a balloon in your hands with your fingers spaced apart. The balloon bulging between the fingers represents fat cells and your fingers represent Fibrous septae. In order to reduce or eliminate dimpling the fingers (fibrous septae) must be released to reveal a flat area.
