CO2 Resurfacing Laser
Discover the power of the premier fractional ablative laser!
What is CO2 Resurfacing and how does it work?
CO2 is a fractional carbon dioxide laser specially designed for advanced skin resurfacing. By delivering precise beams of CO2 energy to the skin, it creates microscopic traumas that stimulate the body’s natural healing process. This promotes the production of collagen and elastin, leaving your skin smoother, tighter and more youthful. With this luxurious, non-invasive treatment, you can say goodbye to fine lines and wrinkles and hello to a refreshed, rejuvenated complexion!
Who is a candidate for CO2 Resurfacing?
If you have skin concerns such as wrinkles, sun damage, large pores, and/or skin laxity, CO2 resurfacing may be for you. The ideal patient does not have active, inflamed lesions, very dark skin or deep wrinkles.
Indications for CO2
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Skin laxity
- Skin texture
- Scarring
- Hyperpigmentation
- Sun damage
- Skin blemishes
What areas can be treated with CO2?
Co2 Resurfacing Laser can treat a broad spectrum of clinical conditions on both the face and body.
How many CO2 treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed depends on the patient’s specific concerns and aesthetic goals! While some patients may experience results after 1 laser treatment, many patients will require a series of 2-4 sessions 4-6 weeks apart.
How soon will I see results from CO2 Plus?
While you may see some immediate improvements after your CO2 treatment, it can take 3-6 months to see results.
What should I expect during an CO2 Plus treatment session?
This is a completely customizable treatment session to fit your needs and skin concerns. A complimentary consultation with one of our experienced and highly trained Medical Providers is the best way to start CO2 Journey.
Patients will arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotions, powders or perfumes around the areas being treated.
Prior to the treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the target area to ensure comfort. If the eye area is being treated, an intraocular shield will be carefully placed to protect the eyes while addressing the upper and lower lids. The procedure area will then be cleansed and sterilized.
During the treatment, a hand-held laser device will be gently guided across the skin in a grid-like pattern. Patients may experience warm, tingling sensations, along with some pressure in the treated area.
Post-treatment, it’s common to experience some redness and swelling. Swelling typically subsides within a week, while redness may begin to fade after a month, though in some cases it can last up to six months.
Are there any side effects or downtime with CO2?
The downtime and healing process depends on the intensity of the treatment. You may experience redness and swelling for up to a week after treatment. Tenderness, dryness and a warm, tingling sensation are also common side effects during the initial healing process. You should be able to resume most normal activities a few days post treatment!
