What’s the difference between Juvederm Ultra Plus and Juvederm Ultra XC?

Juvederm Ultra and Ultra Plus have similarities but also a few differences. Both are made of Hyaluronic Acid, a gel like consistency that adds volume to mild to moderate folds in the mid to lower face. Your provider will determine which product will be best at your consultation. Both can be used for treatment of facial lines and wrinkles.

Juvederm Ultra XC tends to be a thinner product used for more superficial lines around the mouth and hydrating the lips. Juvederm Ultra Plus is a thicker product that works better for more moderate to deeper folds around the lower face and can add more fullness to the lips.

The great thing about these two fillers it that we can customize our treatment approach for each individual patient. Fillers are not all size fits all and that’s why it is so important to go to a practice who offers a variety of options so we can best treat the patient!
