In today’s fast-paced world, staying at the forefront of aesthetic medicine is more than important—it’s essential! At La Chelé Medical Aesthetics, we are committed to leading the way by specializing in the most advanced and innovative treatments available. That’s why we’re excited to offer Renuva, a groundbreaking bioregenerative injectable treatment that provides natural-looking results without the need for invasive surgery!

What is Renuva, and how does it work?

Renuva is the first ready-to-use treatment that helps restore fat loss using your body’s natural processes. This innovative and safe treatment works by providing a structure for your body to naturally grow its own fat when injected. This structure is referred to as an adipose extracellular matrix, and this honeycomb-like structure contains growth factors, collagen, and peptides. When injected, Renuva stimulates the body’s natural fat production process by encouraging the body to generate its own fat cells. This results in a natural and long-lasting enhancement.

Who is a good candidate for Renuva?

The ideal patient for Renuva is a healthy individual who wants to restore volume and improve contour to the areas of the body that have lost shape due to aging, weight loss and other factors. Renuva is a great option for patients who want gradual, natural, long-lasting results without undergoing invasive surgery.

What areas can be treated with Renuva?

This flexible treatment can be injected into any area of the body where native fat exists.  Some common areas include the face, buttocks, hip dips, and back of the hands. Renuva is also a great choice for cellulite dimples, depressed scars, and contour deficiencies that may result from trauma or surgery.

How is Renuva different from traditional fat transfer methods?

Renuva utilizes pre-processed fat tissue sourced from human donors, whereas traditional fat transfer techniques involve harvesting fat from the patient’s own body.

Since Renuva is a non-surgical procedure, there are no incisions or associated downtime, while a traditional fat grafting procedure will often require incisions from liposuction and up to months in recovery time.

What should I expect during a Renuva treatment session?

During a Renuva treatment, the desired area is numbed with an injectable numbing agent to reduce any potential discomfort. Following this, the medical provider carefully injects Renuva into the designated treatment site. The procedure generally takes less than an hour, depending on the number of areas being addressed.

How many Renuva treatments will I need?

After consulting with a medical provider, the appropriate number of treatment sessions will be determined based on the severity of volume loss and patient’s goals. On average, we typically recommend 2-3 treatments spaced 3 months apart.

How soon will I see results from Renuva?

Given the regenerative properties of Renuva, results occur gradually over time. Your natural fat will start to settle and grow in the treated area about three weeks after your procedure. You can expect to see 80% of growth at 3-4 months, and 90% of growth will occur by 6 months.

Are there any side effects or downtime associated with Renuva?

Patients might notice slight swelling, bruising, redness, or tenderness at the injection site immediately after treatment. These side effects are temporary and will gradually subside over 2 weeks.

What makes Renuva a safe fat transfer option?

Renuva is meticulously tested and screened in accordance with FDA guidelines, and only 2% of donor tissue is accepted during this process. Sourced from donated human fat tissue, it is monitored by medical experts to ensure both quality and safety. Since Renuva contains proteins and components identical to those found in natural fat tissue, the body is less likely to react as if it were a foreign substance.
