Gigi Rusnak, MSN, FNP-C, DCNP
Gigi Rusnak, MSN, FNP-C, DCNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner recognized by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. As one of the few Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioners in the country, Gigi brings a wealth of specialized knowledge to her practice.
Gigi graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She began her career as a registered nurse gaining diverse clinical experience across various settings, including during the early, challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic as a travel nurse. She then earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University, where she began her professional journey as a Nurse Practitioner in dermatology.
During her tenure working in dermatology, Gigi became an expert in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, including acne, rashes, skin cancers, autoimmune diseases, and more. In addition to medical dermatology, Gigi became proficient in various lasers and neurotoxins, often mixing medical with cosmetic dermatology to holistically care for her patients and empower them to feel better in their skin.
Gigi’s passion for skin health began in the 5th grade when her own battle with severe acne led to many visits to a dermatology Nurse Practitioner. This personal experience ignited a lifelong commitment to helping others achieve their best skin. In her practice, Gigi witnessed firsthand the profound impact that skin concerns have on a person’s well-being, inspiring her transition into aesthetic medicine. At La Chele Medical Aesthetics, Gigi combines her dermatology expertise with a deep understanding of aesthetic treatments, offering patients personalized care that enhances both their appearance and confidence. She is dedicated to patient education and believes in the power of customized treatment plans to achieve optimal results.
In her free time, Gigi enjoys hanging out with her Portuguese Water Dog, Geoffrey, and baking new gluten-free recipes for her family.
