Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) for Men
As we age, our bodies change and so does our hormone production. Many factors can play a part in hormonal imbalance and can result in increased feelings of stress, weight gain, fatigue and so much more. At La Chelé we offer testosterone replacement therapy to help you feel like yourself again and give your body the balance it needs.
What is Testosterone Replacement Therapy? (TRT)
TRT is a treatment process to address and aid in symptoms of low testosterone. We can supplement testosterone with different modalities of delivery to give you an overall feeling of increased well-being and help you feel youthful again.
How do I know if I am a candidate for BHRT?
There are a variety of symptoms that may be associated with low T including but not limited to:
- Weight gain
- Reduced muscle mass
- Fatigue
- Change in sexual desire
- Irritability
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Hair loss
Additional potential factors that can impact testosterone levels in men:
- Medications
- Stress
- Genetics
- Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
- Obesity
If you experience any of these symptoms, you MAY have a hormonal imbalance.
How to Determine if I Have a Hormonal Imbalance?
With a simple blood test, we can determine if your testosterone level is low.
Which Hormones do we use for BHRT?
- Testosterone: Regulates libido, bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass, and the production of red blood cells and sperm
- DHEA: Helps produce Estrogen and Testosterone
How does TRT Treatment Work?
After your initial consultation, we will review your bloodwork and come up with an individualized treatment plan with you. Testosterone therapy is available in many different delivery methods such as pellets, injections and creams to get your testosterone regulated.
Pellet Therapy: Pellets are implanted under the skin; usually in the hip or buttocks, and slowly release a steady state of testosterone over 3-6 months.
Injections: Testosterone can be self-administered with injections in the comfort of your own home every week.
Creams: Applied daily on the skin over upper arms, shoulders or thighs.
