Have you ever wondered if there was something that could be done to help improve your skins appearance in just a few short days? Microbotox is on the up-rise of skin treatments due to the more-than-desirable effects it provides!

What is Microbotox?

Microbotox is a form of micro-needling, also known as intradermal Botox. It utilizes a more diluted form of a neuromodulator through the process of placing multiple small dose injections into the skin. This treatment is meant to target the sweat glands, oil glands, and arrector pili muscles that are attached to the hair follicles and dermal tissue and are responsible for opening your pores. Placing the microbotox causes the glands and pores to shrink resulting in smoother appearing skin. When injected intradermally, Botox targets structures in the skin that can contribute to inflammatory processes. Botox injected in the dermis can decrease sebum production, which results in less oil on the skin. Studies have shown that after administration of microbotox, patients experienced less redness and flushing in addition to an improvement in skin quality. Microbotox compliments both topical, and laser regimens for the treatment of acne and rosacea.

What is the Difference between Microbotox and Botox?

The major difference between Microbotox and Botox is that Microbotox is only injected intradermal into the skin and not into the deep muscle like Botox. Because its ability to provide a less intense treatment that isn’t used to relax the major facial muscles, Microbotox is more appealing to the eye for wider range of people, particularly younger people. Since microbotox is a more of a diluted version of Botox, it can help treat fine lines and wrinkles that Botox normally doesn’t treat.
